Gender Stream is a feminist inclusive organization that unites Ukrainian and international activists in a professional team. Together, we work to strengthen and develop the LGBTQI+ community, internal and external security, and the realization of equal rights.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine increased inequality in Ukrainian society, and socially vulnerable sections of the population found themselves in even more vulnerable conditions. From February 24, 2022, we were forced to relocate, reformat our work and pay the main attention to helping and preserving LGBTQI+ Ukrainians. Currently, part of our team works in Ukraine in Transcarpathia and Dnipro, the other – in Bratislava, Slovakia. Despite the distance and all the challenges of today, we continue to act and help the LGBTQI+ community, namely: we provide opportunities for recovery and development, we offer professional advice, we engage in sociological research and advocacy for the rights of LGBTQI+ people.
In addition to the main location in Dnipro, the organization has representative offices in: Uzhhorod and Bratislava (Slovakia).
In addition to services under the main tags, the organization provides: recovery and rehabilitation under the “Restart” project, diversity and inclusion consultations for public institutions and businesses.
