The purpose of the activities of the public organization “Spectrum Kharkiv” is to promote the observance of human and citizen rights in Ukraine, which are proclaimed by international agreements and enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine, the implementation and protection of rights and freedoms, the satisfaction of public, in particular economic, social, cultural, environmental, and other common interests of LGBT people (LGBT – lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people); promoting the equality of all people regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI).
Founded in May 2020, Spectrum Kharkiv NGO is a regional LGBTI organization that implements its activities according to the principles of “peer-to-peer”. From the beginning of the large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation, thanks to private donations and donations from friendly organizations, our organization began to provide humanitarian aid to LGBTI people of our city and region who found themselves in difficult life circumstances (including those who lost their homes and/or lost their jobs, there is an internal displaced persons, people left without support, people with disabilities, etc.). This includes individual financial assistance, food and hygiene products, compensation for transport and postal costs for LGBTI people.
