Training Summary: Strengthening the Role of Women in Law Enforcement

On March 29, an important event took place in Kyiv, organized by the Gender Stream team in collaboration with the Ukrainian Association of Women in Law Enforcement (UAWLE) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. This initiative aimed to provide participants with practical tools for addressing gender equality and psychological resilience.

How was the training conducted?

35 participants from various regions of Ukraine took part in a program structured around rotational training sessions. Each group engaged with two key modules:

  • Gender Equality in Law Enforcement – Integrating the principles of equality into professional practice.
  • Psychological Self-Regulation – Stress management techniques and maintaining mental health.

What made this training special?

  • Open discussions about the challenges women face in the law enforcement sector.
  • Practical exercises and real-life case studies to apply the knowledge gained.
  • A dynamic exchange of experiences among participants, helping to strengthen the role of women in law enforcement.
