“GENDER ISSUES OF THE SECURITY SECTOR”

Since 2014, a war has been going on in Ukraine, in which russia is the aggressor. Both men and women are standing on the defense of the integrity of our country, just as they are on the way to building peace. Ukraine plans to become a part of the European Union, and before that it must become a member of NATO. But in order to become a member of NATO, one must take responsibility and fulfill a number of conditions that help to grow and strengthen positions in the fight against russian aggression.

The offline phase of our unique educational project Human Rights Academy took place in Transcarpathia on May 13-18. It was attended by 15 people, including representatives of public organizations, solo activists, media personalities, and other caring Ukrainians united by the desire for a fairer future for all of us.

Our organization is dedicated to ensuring that LGBTQI+ individuals in Ukraine feel as comfortable and safe as possible. To achieve this, we collaborate with other organizations, the police, and advocate for legislative changes, while also providing direct assistance to those in need. TOGETHER FOR SAFETY: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF LGBTQI+ INDIVIDUALS

Gender Stream, in collaboration with the Department of Main Inspection and Human Rights Compliance of the National Police, has developed Recommendations for the Protection of Rights and Safe Relocation of LGBTQI+ Individuals in Conditions of Armed Conflict. These recommendations are designed to provide LGBTQI+ individuals with effective tools for planning and protecting their rights, and to equip police officers with the knowledge necessary for appropriate interactions with LGBTQI+ individuals in various situations.
