Olha Poliakova, head of the board of the NGO Gender Stream, signed the Memorandum on the extension of cooperation with the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration.
Back in March, together with the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration in partnership with the Ukrainian Women’s Fund and Ms. Iryna Hrytsai, we created a support hotline for women in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
We were quickly joined by a team of professional psychologists who jointly developed a service delivery system. And the Head Office of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region has developed a system for responding to calls about domestic violence.
At present, according to the needs of society, we continue cooperation with the Dnipro Regional State Administration and the police, but for now on our own. With a minimal budget, but a team of professionals and social innovators.
We signed a memorandum and continue to work with the Regional State Administration with the aim of building psychological resilience in women of various categories of the population who have become victims of domestic violence and/or are at risk. Providing assistance to victims of family violence, as well as other types of gender-based violence in the Dnipropetrovsk region, taking into account the principles of social partnership, openness and transparency in their activities, striving to ensure the maximum efficiency of the implemented measures during the achievement of common goals on the basis of combining the capabilities of the parties.
Every day from 18:00 to 22:00 professional psychologists with experience of working in crisis situations are on call.
At the time of the call, women and girls can receive psychological support for the prevention and combating of domestic violence.
