Human Rights Academy in Transcarpathia: how it was
On May 13-18, the offline stage of our unique educational project Human Rights Academy took place in Transcarpathia. It was attended by 15 people, including representatives of civil society organizations, solo activists, media personalities and other caring Ukrainians united by the desire for a fairer future for all of us.
Over the course of 5 working days, with the help of our star trainers, participants:
- learned how to plan their own projects;
- researched the history and application of human rights;
- learned about key moments of advocacy;
- mastered tools for implementing ambitious and inclusive ideas;
- searched for support and learned flexibility in times of change.
The variety of formats was impressive: brainstorming (of tsunami level!), voting on the possible presidency of Princess Olga, co-creation of human rights fairy tales… The spirit is captured by the memories themselves!
And in your free time, you could swim in the pool or hot tub, swing comfortably in a hammock, pet the dogs, walk in the forest, alone or in company, amidst the singing of birds and fragrant greenery.
Thank you to our experts, participants, and everyone in general who made this training a real joint celebration of support, unity, and protection of rights!
